I visited my mom yesterday evening and understood, more than ever, how appropriate it is that we often use the term, "Rest in Peace." Cemeteries have always been a place of uneasiness for me. The cemetery my mom is buried in is beautiful and peaceful. Though I'd give anything to be able to go sit with her at her house, it comforts me being able to go sit with her there. "Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon her."
There was a group of turkeys visiting yesterday evening when I got there. My dad says he often sees them early in the morning but I've never gotten to see them when I've been there. It made me smile to see them and I know mom feels the same.
