From the mouth of Grace

Grace:  "Mommy, why do look like that?"
Me:  "Why do I look like what?"
Grace:  "Not good, you need to brush your hair.  I like your feet but not your hair."

Neither of the girls slept good last night; must've been something to do with the crazy moon;)  Grace kept saying she was "itchy" and Madi just couldn't sleep.  Grace and I were up in the middle of the night and here are some of her random thoughts from the night...

"Mommy, what do zebras eat?"
"Mommy, what will my be when I a grown up?  A soccer player.  After I be a big sister to Wyatt then I be a soccer player."
"How are those little ants doing?"  (we had a few ants coming in yesterday; she was on guard all day)

Hurt My Feelings

Grace was being a little stinker this morning and ended up hitting my hand with a stick.  She cried instantly and apologized and even apologized to Wyatt. Tonight she she was kissing my hand where she had hit me and asked where my ouchie was. I told her that you couldn't see it but that it had hurt my feelings.  I asked her if she knew where my feelings were and she pointed to my heart.  She said, "that where daddy love you and Wyatt love me in his heart.". Pretty wise for a 3 year old but it sure makes it hard to discipline her cause she's so darn sweet!

Baby news.....or lack thereof

Well, we went to the dr. today and it's up to our little Wy man to decide when  he's going to make his appearance; my dr. said she wouldn't induce until 39 weeks because he's "big, but not that hug yet."  Yeah, that's easy for her to say:)  He weighed roughly 8lbs. 8oz. based on the ultrasound and in the 96th percentile already.  The good news is that I am 3cm dialated.  I made another appointment for next Wednesday but she almost expects I won't make it until then.  I have been having contractions all afternoon so I'm hoping I'm making more progress and we will be meeting our little guy soon.

The girls have been BEGGING me to take them to Bay Beach so, in hopes that more walking would put me in labor, we spent the morning there having some fun.  Here are a few pictures of our day:)
Waiting in line for some tickets:)
The first ones to ride the merry go round and the only ones on the ride, pretty cool!
Ready for the train ride to start.  I love how Grace is holding onto Madi's arm...
they really do love eachother:)
Madi loves her big sunglasses.  She looks like a cute little bug in them and look at how all those teeth are growing in!
Ready for the ride to start.

Madi was such an awesome help today with Grace on the rides.  She made sure she got Grace buckled into all of them and as soon as it stopped, went straight to help Grace get unbuckled and would even lift Grace in/out if need be.  They were so good and screamed with excitement when we pulled into the parking lot at Bay Beach; they didn't know we were going:)

Grace: The definition of movement

Reactions

Madi is convinced that every day is the day her baby brother is going to be born; she's a tad on the obsessed side about it.  She is sure it's going to happen tonight because we went to the zoo today and I walked alot.  She told me that I wouldn't know that Wyatt is coming unless I start having those "reactions" like 10 minutes apart:)  Apparently she's heard be talking about having "contractions."

37 Weeks

How far along? 37 Weeks
Total weight gain: 30+
Maternity clothes? Yes, and growing out of some of those too!
Stretch marks? Yes and my belly button is pretty much an "outie" now
Sleep:Not so good; having lots of back pain the last couple nights and sleeping on the couch seems to help that.
Best moment this week: Our week was a little quieter this week thankfully.  We went out for dinner with my family on Monday night for an early Father's Day since my dad isn't home today.  I had a dr. appointment Wednesday; I always love hearing Wyatt's heartbeat:)  Madi scored her first goal in soccer this year at her game on Thursday so of course we had to celebrate with ice cream afterwards:)
Movement: Still squirming aournd quite a bit but definitely not as much as a couple weeks ago; we're both running out of space!
Food cravings: I want ice cream every night; so far we just had it Thursday night after soccer but it just sounds so good!
Gender: It's a boy, our little Wy man:)
Labor Signs: Yes, I was sure this baby was coming on Saturday afternoon then hoping he would come today for Father's Day but no such luck.  I've been having lots more contractions (still not regular) and a ton of lower back pain. My feet and ankles have been a little better but still not great.
What I miss: Sleep, normal feet and ankles:)
What I am looking forward to: Seeing my Dr. on Wednesday when she will do an ultrasound to see how big he is and possibly induce me!!!
Weekly Wisdom: Wy man is gaining a half a pound each week now....please come out soon:)
Milestones: Wyatt is full term!!!

Suspicious

This morning Grace was brushing her hair and she brushed it so it was side-swept and over her eyes.  She said she wanted to look suspicious today:)  Not sure where she learned such a big word but it cracked me up:)

36 Weeks, Breakfast, and Baseball

How far along? 36 Weeks (I got my picture by these cows at Breakfast on the Farm on Sunday, it was how I was feeling that day:)
Total weight gain: 30+
Maternity clothes? Yes, and growing out of some of those too!
Stretch marks? Yep
Sleep:Some nights are ok, some not so much.
Best moment this week: It was another busy week and weekend, but lots of fun.  Wednesday was Madi's last day of school and it was a half day so after she got out we headed to Green Bay and played for ther afternoon.  We went to Sir-Bounce-Alots, to the mall for lunch and to get a few accessories from Build-a-Bear then to Cold Stone for some afternoon ice cream.  We went to Breakfast on the Farm with Dave's brother and his family on Sunday morning then to a baseball game on Sunday afternoon.
Movement: Still squirming aournd quite a bit but definitely not as much as a couple weeks ago; we're both running out of space!
Food cravings: All I want is food that is NOT good for me; why can't I be hungry for fruit??
Gender: It's a boy, our little Wy man:)
Labor Signs: I had one major contraction on Saturday; it kind of caught me off guard...but then nothing.  My feet and ankles are still super swollen too.
What I miss: Sleep, normal feet and ankles:)
What I am looking forward to: Seeing my Dr. tomorrow and getting her take on all the swelling, etc.
Weekly Wisdom: Wy man is gaining about an oz. each day.
Milestones: The final week until Wyatt is considered full term!

Here are a few pictures of our weekend:)
All the cousins trying to milk the cow:)
 My girls riding tractors
 Cute little cow pokes
Pretty Madi at the baseball game

35 Weeks and Weekend in Milwaukee

How far along? 35 Weeks
Total weight gain: Right at 30lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes, and growing out of some of those too! My shirts are getting shorter and shorter!
Stretch marks? Oh yes
Sleep:Some nights are ok, some not so much.
Best moment this week: What a busy week it was!  I was surprised Friday night with a baby shower from my coworkers!  They brought in balloons Friday afternoon and told me I had somewhere to be that night.  We all went to one of the girls' house and they spoiled me with gifts and delicious food.  Saturday we headed to Milwaukee for a wedding then enjoyed letting the kids play the rest of the night and the Milwaukee Zoo on Sunday.
Movement: His movement has decreased a little; I think he's just running out of room
Food cravings: Nothing really; I just feel full all the time; no idea why;)
Gender: It's a boy, our little Wy man:)
Labor Signs: Had a couple more contractions this week and my feet and ankles are still super swollen. I called my Dr. because my feet have been HUGE for at least 4 days.  They said I may want to consider being off of work now.  I would really rather start my leave when he's born so we are going to see how the next little bit goes and I have to make myself sit and relax more.  At this point they see no threat to Wyatt because my blood pressure has been consistently low, etc.  Check out these beauties....
What I miss: Sleep, normal feet and ankles:)
What I am looking forward to: We have another busy week this week; this could be another reason my feet look the way they do!  Madi's last day of Kindergarten is on Wednesday :'(  I'm hoping to pick her up from school and take them to Bay Beach and enjoy the afternoon; they've been asking for weeks to go.   Sunday we have tickets to go to a Timber Rattlers baseball game in Appleton and Dave's brother & his family invited us to join them for Breakfast on the Farm on Sunday morning.  We are going to play that by ear, depending how the swelling situation is but we would definitely love to join them.
Weekly Wisdom: Wyatt is the size of a honeydew melon (he sure feels bigger than that!)
Milestones: 3 weeks to go until 38 weeks, when Grace was born!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our weekend in Milwaukee.  We went to Dave's cousin's wedding Saturday afternoon then spent the rest of the night letting the kids play, swim, and eat!  When we got to our hotel they told us they were upgrading us to a "kid suite."  The girls said it was the "best hotel ever" because they had their own room complete with bunkbeds, a desk, and a t.v.!!!  Sunday we at breakfast at the hotel then headed out to the Milwaukee Zoo and spent the rest of the day there.  It was a really nice weekend.
The girls showing off their room at the "best hotel ever!"
 Cousin pizza party:)
 Grace "swimming"
Trying to touch one of the sting rays at the zoo exhibit, pretty cool!
Grace scoping things out with her backward binoculars
