Thunder... from a 3 year old's perspective

Today we had a pretty good thunderstorm come through the area. Madi told us that the thunder came from the angels up in heaven moving their furniture around. Too cute not to share!

Talking to Papa

Today Madi was talking on the phone with my dad who is in Texas working. She had gotten a great new drum set at my mom's house from a rummage sale today and she was trying to play on it so my dad could hear her. Being the multi-tasker she is (like mommy like daughter!) she was trying to talk on the phone and play the drums at the same time; no easy task for anyone let alone a 3 1/2 year old. Well, she ended up dropping the phone and picked it up saying, "are you okay?" My dad, not knowing what had happened, asked who she was talking to. She said, "you, I dropped you on the floor, are you okay." How cute is that? She thought that since she dropped the phone she might have hurt her Papa on the other end. What a great kid she is!

We're still here!

My little Grace, deep in thought, and sleep:)
Madi showing off her ponytail-she wants to grow her hair long. It lasted all of 5 minutes:)
Bringing Ms. Grace up right-Go Cowboys!!!
My two pretties
Wow, it's been a while since I updated this! As I sit here, Grace is asleep and Dave is putting Madi to bed (aka Dave is falling asleep in Madi's room, sometimes he decides to wake up and join me in our bed but most of the time he doesn't wake back up and sleeps in there all night!). I don't know where the time is going; seriously how can Grace be 3 months old already??? She is still sleeping through the night and will sleep, on average, 9 hours/night. She is getting a tooth already so she has been a drooling machine! Madi didn't get her first tooth until she was 7 months old. Madi continues to be a VERY busy little 3 1/2 year old and keeps us on our toes big time. Work for Dave and I is...well, it's work. I wish things could be different for Dave but that is an entirely different story which I don't have time to go into tonight because it is past my bed time:) Have a great week!

Grace's Baptism

The Hoverson Clan
The Reed clan
The Reed clan #2
Gracie with her Godparents, my brother Doug and Sister in law Sarah...AWESOME Godparents! Ga made the beautiful cake!
Madi and Grace before baptism, I LOVE that every picture of them together is like this; Madi smiling and Grace crying:)

Gracie was welcomed into our church on Sunday and is officially a little Catholic now:) We had wished to get her baptized sooner but they don't baptize babies during lent so this weekend was our first opportunity to do so. She did awesome during the water over the head, much better than the other little girl who was baptized at the same time (not that we're competitive or anything:) Afterwards everyone came to our house for brunch (all 20 of us again). We enjoyed omelets, danish, muffins, fruit and of course a beautiful cake made by Ga. It was a very nice day and the weather turned out to be beautiful too. Thanks to everyone who joined in Grace's specail day.

A Star is Born

After the recital; this girl made a haul!!!
Madi is the one on the right side end with her head back, taking her bow:)

Showing her muscles:)
Miss Madi performed in her first dance recital this past Saturday and boy did she do an awesome job! It was so cute. I was laughing so hard that I was crying. She had quite a crowd to cheer her on, there were 20 of us!!! We're not sure if Madi is quite cut-out for dancing but she had fun anyway:)

Easter Fun

Grace's first Easter, her basket was as big as her!
Fun at the zoo with Cousin Carter, Uncle Paul and Auntie Erin
Our cute little Godson, Carter
Me and my girls at breakfast with the Easter bunny
My amazing little family.
We had a wonderful Easter as usual. We spent Saturday morning with Cousin Carter, Uncle Paul and Auntie Erin at the zoo, enjoying breakfast with the Easter bunny. Later in the afternoon we took Madi to the Y Easter egg hunt then had dinner with Dave's family in the evening. Sunday we got up early to find the Easter bunny had been good to our girls, went to church, made what was supposed to be a quick stop at K-Mart to get in on some double coupon days (that is another story for another day though) and then went on to have brunch with Dave's extended family. From there we made our way to my mom and dad's house where they put on one amazing Easter egg hunt. It was a great weekend spent with alot of great family
