Little Man's Party

We celebrated Wyatt's 1st Birthday on his real birthday, June 29, with a Mustache Bash!  It was a fun day.  Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our little man!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy

Happy 1st Birthday to my dear, sweet, Wyatt John.  I can hardly believe you are a year old already; it seems like just yesterday we made that VERY quick trip to Green Bay for your birth.  You started your life fast and you haven't slowed down since.  It's hard to put into words how much love I have for you.  You fill up a space in my heart that I never knew was empty.  You brought our family so much hope, happiness, and love during some very difficult times.  God knew exactly what we needed when he created you, the most perfect package.  I am so thankful that I was chosen to be your mommy, I can't imagine my life without you.  Happy Birthday sweet boy!

 

Start of Summer

Thanks to my brother-in-law I can finally update our blog, complete with pictures!  My computer hasn't been cooperating but he helped get that issue figured out today, Thanks Paul:)  I can't believe it's almost July already, where is the summer going???  Madi finished her 1st grade year on June 11th and she and Grace have been in summer school the last two weeks.  Madi did swimming lessons, sewing, and a science experiment class in summer school and Grace did intro to 4K.  Of course Madi loved every minute of it (she is the child who cried on the last day of school because she loves school so much) but Grace isn't so sure about this whole school thing, she'd much rather stay home and hang with Mom:)  On her second to last day of summer school she said, "yes, tomorrow is my last day!."  We've been staying busy; I told Dave that I feel busier now than I was when I was working...not sure how that works:)  Here is our month in pictures, minus pictures from a baseball game we went to and breakfast on the farm, both of which we didn't have the camera for.

Grace: "No, but she was wearing a Justin Beaver shirt."

Madi: "Well then you probably shouldn't be friends with her."

A million days old

Madi was asking me today how many days old she is. I figured it out for her and it worked out to be somewhere around 2,700. She says, "Wow, you must be like a million days old then!" My 30's must not be treating me very well; maybe it's all the gray hair they're giving me:)

Playing Catch-Up

I guess it's time to do a little catching up on this sorely neglected little blog of ours  We've been busy; with babies, changing diapers, planning a 30th birthday party, turkey hunting, having a rummage sale, Mother's Day, and just life in general, really.  Here are a few pictures of this past weekend.  It as a BEAUTIFUL weekend, I just wish it could've lasted a bit longer! 

 My sister and I did the 5K "Run for your Mother" Saturday morning and the girls did the kids, 1/8th mile race.

And lucky me, with two of my babies, on Mother's Day.  They made me the beautiful cakes they are holding. 



Lessons in Faith

The girls have really been putting my knowledge of my faith to the test lately.  "How did Jesus die?"  "Why did Jesus die?"  "What does God look like?"  I try my best to answer their questions but it's very hard to put such deep questions into terms that a four and seven year old can understand. In my heart, the answers are easy, but to put them into words is much harder.  Grace often tells me, "Mommy, I miss Jesus," and yesterday she told me, "Mommy, your Auntie died just like Jesus died."  She said it so perfectly, my Aunt truly was one of the most Christ-like people. They have such pure little hearts that teach me so much more than I could ever teach them.
