Madi and Grace isms

Dave overheard Grace ask Madi what her Halloween costume is.  Madi told her, "a 50's girl."  Grace asked what a 50's girl was and Madi told her, "you know, a girl from the two thousand fifties." 

Madi was wearing her golden "M" necklace that she got from Dave's parents for her birthday.  She asked me if it was real gold and I told her I didn't know for sure;)  Grace chimes in and says, "smell it Madi, see if it smells like gold." 

How Tall This Fall

We have been going to Zoo Boo at our local zoo for the past 6 years.  Every year we take a picture next to this pumpkin.  It's so crazy to look back and see how our family has grown, the kids continue to grow, and now how daddy has shrunk!

Grace was drawing a picture for Auntie Kaci today and she asked me what letter Kaci started with.  I told her, "K, just like your friend Kennedy's name."  She grumbled a little and got frustrated and said, "I'm a bad K-er." 

Whirlwind Weekend

Here's the true sign of a good weekend.....it's not quite 7:00 on Sunday evening and I think we could all go to bed!  We packed so much fun into one weekend.  My cousin and her husband and son flew in from North Dakota on Thursday afternoon so we had everyone here for dinner Thursday night.  Their little guy is almost 9 months so he fit in perfectly with our bunch of littles:)  I made breakfast Friday morning for them and my parents during a showing of my parent's house.  Friday afternoon we all went to the zoo for Zoo Boo and despite it being a little wet I think everyone had a good time.  After the zoo we headed to Doug and Sarah's house for a nacho/taco bar for dinner.  Saturday morning I went to a craft show for a little bit then we headed to my mom and dad's for lunch with everyone, then to church, and finally to Boo Bash at the school my sis-in-law teaches at.  Today our niece and nephews from the Reed side came and stayed with us while their mommy and daddy celebrated their mommy's birthday at the Packer game!  We did LOTS of fun stuff to keep us busy; I think they all had a good time.  Just writing about it all makes me sleepy:)

 Carter, Callie, and Jack decorated made a very special cake for their mommy for her birthday today.  There were a few finger marks in the cake from two little frosting snitchers:)

October Fun

October ranks right up there as one of my favorite months.  There are SO many fun things to do this time of year; every weekend leading up to Halloween the kids can get some more use out of their costumes.  Today we had some "Spooktacular Fun" at Lambeau Field.  We've been going to this event for quite a few years now; the kids have fun, and it's free!  We finally managed to get our costumes finalized last night after Grace changing her mind MANY times.  We settled on a 50s girl, Anna from Frozen, and our little monster:)
